thrifting like a boss

i. love. thrifting. it’s like a treasure hunt for clothes. what’s more, treasures don’t cost you an arm and a leg. more like the change in your car’s cup holder. my last little thrift hunt was motivated by a need for “transitional wardrobe”. you know that time of year when it’s too warm for winter coats, but too cold for tees & jeans… i was on that mission. this year, i wanted pencil skirts and graphic/vintage tees. and boy oh boy did i hit the lick! check out my finds. all of which i grabbed for only $120. fur collar coat, fur vest & boots included!

check out how i paired the pieces together to make several looks out of each item. if it’s not versatile, it’s a no.

the next time you’re in need a cool new piece, hit your local goodwill first. (suburbs always have good buys.) you may be surprised what you find. pro tip : go after those times when folks do their spring cleaning, after new year, and around the end of summer. benefit from the purge of the wealthy. it’s exhilarating.
