shrimp & grits ya bish

you what i love?  seafood and bacon.  oh, and liquor! here's a super easy dinner that your crew will love.  there's also a super refreshing cocktail recipe half way through the video for all you alcoholic foodies! LOL. complete recipe below.

INGREDIENTS

  • 6 raw jumbo shrimp

  • 5 slices of thick cut bacon

  • old fashioned grits

  • 1/2 cup shredded mild cheddar

  • 1 tablespoon old bay seasoning

  • 4 tablespoons salted butter

  • salt & pepper

  • *scallions & shredded cheese for topping

 

 

 

DIRECTIONS

  1. cook bacon on 400 degrees in oven until mostly done

  2. season shrimp with tablespoon of old bay

  3. cook grits according to package instructions

  4. saute shrimp on medium high heat in 1tblsp of salted butter

  5. chop cooked bacon and add to shrimp in pan, saute until bacon is desired crispiness

  6. add 3 tblsp of butter & 1/2 cup cheese to grits, salt and pepper to taste

  7. top grits with shrimp & bacon

  8. sprinkle a little shredded cheese & scallions on top

  9. ENJOY!
